Hi.  My name is Brenda Schmitz.  I am a fourth grade classroom teacher at Zielanis Elementary.  I have been teaching in Kiel since 1996.  Before coming to Kiel Schools, I taught fourth and fifth grade at Kohler Schools. 

As a teacher, I strive to build caring relationships with my students that leads to an optimal learning environment.  My wish is for my students to find comfort in my consistency within the classroom.  Additionally, I try to look at the activities within my classroom through the eyes of a child. 

Open communication with parents and students is key to a successful year.  You are encouraged to be an active part in your child's fourth grade year.  I look forward to getting to know you and your child this school year!
