Hello, my name is Bridget August.   This year I am excited about returning to my third grade classroom full time.  During my employment with the Kiel Area Schools I have taught both third and fourth grades at Zielanis Elementary School.  For the last 9 years I was part of a job-share classroom so that I could be home to raise my children.  The fall of 2014 will begin my 20th year of teaching 

I was born and raised outside of Rochester, NY but received my Bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.  Spending my college years in the great state of Wisconsin lead me to search for a teaching job in Wisconsin.  Desiring to be a better reading teacher I pursued a 316 Reading Teacher license from Cardinal Stritch University.  Following that I returned to Cardinal Stritch and completed a Master's Program receiving a degree in Literacy for the 21st Century.

I currently live in Kiel with my husband, two daughters and dog, Ava.  Together we enjoy camping,skiing, biking, and traveling. I also enjoy scrapbooking and reading when I find the time. This is a bittersweet year for the August family, as it will mark the last year both of my daughters attend Zielanis.
