The first unit in Social Studies we will cover is the Expansion of the United States when Thomas Jefferson takes office.  We will continue our adventure through time until the beginning of the first World War.

There will be a strong focus on infusing literacy skill throughout the content.  Emphasis on time period literature will provide students with additional insight into what life was like during the time period for kids their age.
